Welcome to Bargains-Up-The-WaZoo. An experimental micro-niche site where I try out new ideas and techniques. The main emphasis of this site changes as I try on different skins.
Right now, there are four different experiments going on within.
1) Miss Vikki's Place - Here I've set up a page where a sexually provocative video residing on YouTube is used to lure viewers into the notion that there's an secret way to get lucky. To see what the secret is, they need only click over to the page located here. The ultimate goal is to convince them that they need to buy a skimpy, slinky, sexy piece of girly clothing for their partner and that will in essence, buy them a better sex life. I take a tongue-in-cheek approach using comedy and vulgarity to make my point - Total Bravado!! WARNING, the images on this page are not X rated, but you wouldn't see them hanging in the church rectory either. Ok, maybe hidden in a obscure book, but not out in plain site... There I go again with my TIC advances.
2) Matts Stuff is a page put together to help sell off my tin toy collection. I closed my coffee shop to prepare for my move to Palm Springs. There was a two month interim between the time I closed the shop till the time I physically moved. During those two months I held what I called the Short Saturday Sale in the old coffee shop space. Each Saturday from 10am to 2pm, I would open the doors and people could come and shop through my belongings. The sales were unbelievably successful. I leave these pages intact because they still get excellent web traffic. Some items are still available. Use the contact link within if you would like to get one or two of these items for yourself.
3) Halloween Bargains Up The Wazoo is an idea I thought of over a year ago. The pages received good traffic but they were too new to perform well. A slight rework for 2010 should improve performance. Retirement Party, Anniversary, Wedding Reception- let your imagination go wild. Oh yeah, don't forget your four legged friend either - we have costumes for them too. You are going to love the ideas here.
4) Pulse SmartPen Here I took a great selling product and created a page to promote it exclusively. One page, one product. Traffic is driven to this page thru Craigslist and other online classified advertising media. This concept still needs a bit of refining but the initial results are encouraging.
If you haven't looked at this product yet you should. As you write, the pen records what you are writing and drawing as well as the conversation going on around you. Both the images and audio portions can be uploaded to your computer. Share those notes with your friends and colleagues. Ingenious as hell with tons of applications.
